This game has several players at once. Once each player has put their bets on the table, one player known as the shooter then rolls the dice. The winner is decided based on the dice total. There are also losers if you didn't bet on the right number. The shooter's first roll is known as the come out roll. You can also bet on the pass line. When you play like this, and the dice total either 7 or 11, those betters who have made pass line bets win immediately; on the other hand, if the dice total is 2, 3, or 12, these persons lose immediately.

Persons who make pass line bets will win if the dice total 7 or 11, but will lose if the dice total 2, 3, or 12. There is the pass line bet, and the opposite, the don't pass line bet. If you roll a 7 or an 11 you will lose, but if you roll either a 2, a 3, or a 12, you will win.

Naturally, next are the come wagers and the don't come wagers. These two bets are very much like both pass line and don't pass line bets, a fact that you will notice when placing your bet. However, these bets are in fact made once the come out roll has finished. It can be complicated. If the shooter's roll after the come out roll is a 7 or 11, the come bet will win, and alternately will lose if the second roll is either a 2, 3, or 12. If the dice happens to land with a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, this number is now the come point. You win if the dice total is less than seven. If the dice total more than nine, you lose. Once the dice has been relinquished by the shooter, you may not move this bet. It's as easy as that. Bets classified as "don't come" share many of the same features as "come" bets and "don't pass line" bets. Place a bet after the come out roll. If, on your second roll, the dice total is either a 2 or a 3, you win, but if your total roll is 7 or 11, you will lose. In the slim instance where the numbers equal four, five, six, eight, nine, or ten then those numbers will be the come point. You may move those wagers after the shooter has thrown the dice.
